Things to think about when you’re buying a chain
- Some gold chains are made hollow—they’re less expensive, but can break more easily than a solid chain.
- The purer the gold, the softer the chain will be (due to added, non-gold alloys). Consider a 14K chain for more durability.
- If you’re allergic to nickel, opt for 14K or 18K (less alloy in the gold).
