Wearable

Glamorous wearables. Sure, you’ve got an activity tracker, but how does it look with your cocktail dress? Well, companies have heard us loud and clear. We want a classy, feminine look to match our fashion. Wearables have been hot all through 2016, but new tech trackers will feature gemstones, a mix of metals, designs to rival fine jewelry, and more.

Modern enamels. These aren’t your grandmother’s flowers and frou-frou designs. Look for “brightly colored accents that serve as finishing touches for everyday heirlooms.” According to JCK, pieces are “painted” with crushed glass and heated to form a permanent enamel bond with the underlying metal. Look for interesting geometrics with enamel highlights.

Tracked diamonds. We  want to know where our diamonds come from; not just that they’ve been responsibly mined, but where they’re from and how they got to us—the “chain of custody.” DeBeers started the trend, but more diamond producers are joining the movement. This can also help ensure that you’re getting a natural diamond and not a synthetic one.
